Leia Week 100: Fire Trucks and Tractors - 5/27/2015

We celebrated Memorial Day Weekend at the Squaw Valley Fire Fighters' Annual Pancake Breakfast.  This year Leia was old enough to climb on the fire truck with all the other kids, which she thought was great, but she was a little shy and intimidated by all the other big kids.

We had a few more adventures to the Truckee Regional Park.  One of the most popular structures there is the jeep (real tires, two front seat steering wheels, and a back seat for Mom and Dad).  When we first arrived, we had the place to ourselves, so Leia only drove for a few minutes before getting distracted by something else.  But then other kids showed up, and they took over the jeep for quite awhile.  She was of course very distraught that other people were in "her jeep," but after we talked about sharing and letting them have their turn, she calmed down. But she proceeded to watch them like a hawk from every corner of the park until the moment they left!  It was pretty hilarious, but at least she was being patient!

Finally, Leia has pretty much mastered the technology of the iPhone.  Her absolute favorite thing is looking through all the pictures of herself, especially the movies.  "I want to see Yaya!!"  She knows how to swipe back and forth to see the older and new pictures, and how to press the play button for movies when she sees the arrow.  She's even figured out which icon on the home screen has the pictures, and which one has the files for all the "Leia games" that Daddy has downloaded.  It is really quite impressive watching her navigate through it all, and quite annoying watching her favorite video over and over for 20 minutes straight!

Always so excited to be picked up from school, but she doesn't actually want to leave...insists on playing and doing rolls on the front lawn!

My little cutie!

So good at the downward dog, and sometimes it turns into a somersault!

Way up high on the big fire truck!

Yep, look who's part of the gang of kids!

Pretty exciting stuff, especially since she's so into tractors these days!

She always likes to drive, but driving the big fire truck was just a little too intimidating!

Cruising through the village for the "Made in Tahoe" festival.

Doesn't get better than sitting in baby appliances that are way too small for her!

Happy Uncle Josh with his two babies!

Loves being able to hold her little cousin!

Daddy Day at the park...loves her slide!

Tandem swinging with Cousin Emmett!

36 Weeks Pregnant!

Getting excited to meet the little cutie growing in here!

Everyone says I hardly look pregnant...when I stand this way I guess they're right!

2D image of our little peanut at 35 weeks!

3D of her eyes and nose...her hand was always in front of her face, as well as her face being smashed up against the wall of the uterus, so we didn't get good 3D shots this pregnancy, but i can still tell she's cute!
