Beaverfest 2008

The Marco Sullivan Fan Club headed to Beaver Creek, CO from 12/3/08 - 12/7/08 to cheer on Marco at the World Cup DH and SG races. We had 40 Beaver Slayers packed into 3 condos for 5 days, and boy did we have a blast. Thank you Chelsea and Trevor for all the hard work put into this year's Beaverfest, especially the new signs, tshirts, and cuzies!

Katharine, Jeff, and Jen on night #1 of Beaverfest.

Jesse and Megan joined us after their grueling one day drive from CA.

Andrew and Jean don't miss a beat, they are all over the Beaverfest!

Katie Johnson, my college roommate, stopped in for a cheer too.

Katharine and Chelsea at the Bib Toss Ceremony on night #2.

Welcome the Fan Club headquarters...this is where the magic all happens.

Gotta love the Marco poster making sessions...that's how you get on TV!

Modeling our new Marco shirts.

Kat posing with the Beaverfest Mascot who was often seen sporting his favorite Marco Rocks hat!

The Beaver Slayers hit the bleachers with our new Marco Banner and plenty of Cowbells.

Ted, Kat, Chels, and Trev are ready to scream.

Katharine, Jen, and Jeff

As you can see, the green Marco Rocks hats really stand out and dominate the stands!

Marco took a moment out of his busy finish area autographing duties for a quick pic with me! Isn't he dreamy?

Kat and Lizard.

I got to pose with another great DH racer here...the one and only Worm (a.k.a. Jeremy Transue, Josh's brother).

Back to the Fan Club Headquarters for another wild and crazy night of dancing and libations.

And back to the hill the next day, but more appropriately equipped with my new Marco and the Beaver Slayers neck cuzie...a must have for any serious fan because it leaves you with 2 free hands for cowbells and posters!

Jesse with the trumpet and Brock with the drums were a huge added bonus to our cheering section.

The official newspaper clipping from Marco's DNF in the Downhill.

Josh happened to be in CO coaching his athletes at a camp, so he came up to Beaverfest to hang with me/us for a night, yay!

We threw Chelsea a surprise 30th birthday bash the last night...formal attire, wigs optional! It was the best night yet!!

Kat and Chels gettin' silly, what's new?

And then Marco graced his fan club with a guest appearance...nice mullet! How do you fit all that hair under your helmet Marco?

Chelsea did her best to catch us unaware for an impromptu photo...maybe its better if we pose??

Trevor and Liz sporting some hot wigs.

But I think Jean and Errol might get the prize...lookin' hot you two!

Amazingly Crazy Weekend in Vermont

Five hours after the biggest split second, spur of the moment decision I've ever made in my life, I hopped on a plane from California to Vermont to see, this guy, Josh Transue. It turned out to be the best trip I ever made...snagged myself a hot, funny, brilliant, and all around great new boyfriend!

Katharine and Josh getting ready to head out to a really fun party at the Vermont Country Club in Burlington.

Josh manning the iPod in preparation of gettin' his groove on!

The group (Roxy, Dykster, Walter, and Joey) doing a little prepartying.

Joey and Josh getting serious about the plan of attack for the evening.

Great weekend...nothing but smiles all around!

Carmel Vacation

On Halloween Weekend, Jeff Jack and I made our annual Wine Tasting Trip to Carmel, CA. We stayed at my grandmother's house, which is walking distance to town, and had ourselves quite a fun adventure.

We stopped for a little 5 o'clock cocktail at Clint Eastwood's old restuarant, the Boar's Head.

Jeff and I posing in front of the fire.

Help, I ripped out my eye!!

Jeff and I posed with our favorite costume of the night...she called herself "Candy Lane."

And she was wearing lots of yummy candy...!

Our favorite bartender, who Jeff named Nurse Betty.

We had gorgeous views of the ocean on our daily walks.

And of coure, the requisit wine tasting. This was the best tasting ever because we had spectacular views of the ocean during the whole tasting.

We found my favorite chair in the world at Galante Vineyards...a cowboy boot!

Bull Riding Bonanza

Welcome to my new blog. I'm kicking it off with a little bull riding video from my adventures in Boulder, Colorado this September for my friend Sarah Dayem's wedding. Not only did I make the requisit 8 Seconds, but I actually held on for a full 60 Seconds!! (I do realize that 2 hands are technically illegal, but hey, that wasn't till the last 15 seconds or so, way after the scoring!)
