Leia Week 33: First Golf Lesson - 2/12/2014

From the moment we found out we were having a girl, Josh has said that she's going to be an LPGA star.  And to help the cause, our friend's Kelly and Syndi gave her her first pair of golf pants.  Well, Leia finally grew into those pants, so we decided it was also time for her first golf lesson!  It went very well until she whacked herself in the eye with the club!!  I guess we need to find more size appropriate clubs before we can continue the lessons:)  Also this week, Leia has become a complete jerk on the diaper changing table (it has become a 2 man job to keep her in position and not get poop everywhere) and she no longer wants to wear pants!  She does seem to be fine with wearing them on her head instead, go figure?!

Pondering if she's going to like Avocados or not??

Showing off her "Littlest Golfer" Pants.

Doing her pre-golf stretches just like her Nana and Poppy.

Getting a feel for the club head weight to calculate swing speed and tempo.

So far she's a golf fan!

Baby's learn most lessons about the world through their mouth…golf clubs are no exception!

Working on proper balance and correct swing stance.

And she takes her first swing!!

First baby hand and foot prints in the new snow!

Action shot of the making of her first prints.

She hates to wear pants!

But a nice headdress is ok?? Weirdo!

Yay, first kiss for Mommy!!

Fast asleep with her monkey feet…don't they smell bad Leia??

It's wake up time, she's stuck in her crib, and she's pissed!  And yes, she knows how to stand up in her crib now…good thing we lowered the mattress!

Oh, look who's excited to see it's bath time!

Mom, I think the water is ready, can I get in her please?!

Laughing is the best, and Leia loves to laugh!

Wrestling with Mom again.

Date night!

A great start to another great Daddy party day!

Out for her morning workout…looks like a gorgeous day!

They said baby girls are supposed to wear headbands…Leia and Josh do it their own way!

Leia Week 31: Exploring The House at 7 Months! - 1/29/2014

Leia started crawling a couple weeks ago, but this week she really started to take advantage of her new mobility by exploring all over the place. She had fun increasing her territory and discovering all sorts of new things at knee level around he house. Plus she's really having fun squirming and rolling around, figuring out what her body s capable of doing.

Cute as a button and happy to be playing with all her fun toys…and guess who's already 7 months old today!!

A whole new world of fun with the foam roller!

She didn't have tight muscles to roll out, but she did use the roller to work on balance and coordination...

...and planking!! Check out that strong core and perfect form!

Cruisin' back and forth through the tunnel is so much fun!

It's like her first ever fort for hiding and playing!

Stylin' new pj's from Jeffro.

She can even crawl and bring toys along!

There she goes...where she stops, nobody knows!

Spending a lot of time on her knees exploring things that were previously out of reach and perfecting her balance.

Already the end of January and it's only day 2 of skiing for me!

Really sad how little snow there is for this time of year.

Having too much fun at school, she didn't want to leave!

Feeding herself with the one-handed palming grip...so advanced!

First batch of homemade food with our new Baby Bullet from Gram Gram...pears and sweet taters!

Look who found our wine stash...now we're in trouble!

Front row speaker seats at Georgia's concert...hope this isn't a sign of future live music behavior!

Happy baby heading out for a walk!

Little dare devil, she loves going fast!!

Biking with Dad has to be the coolest thing!

She won't give any of us kisses, but she will give one to herself!

I hug pretty people!

Leia Week 32: Solo Standing - 2/5/2014

Leia has now perfected the art of standing up! It is absolutely her favorite thing now, and man is she proud of herself. Her little arms work so hard to pull herself up, and the funniest part is that she also uses her mouth as a sort of grip/anchor to help her up too. Getting back down is not as graceful yet, but she's practicing every day.

Standing up to grab her favorite reading book makes Leia very happy!

Wrestling on the floor and climbing Mount Mommy.

So much fun to climb and explore all over!

Had to wear and show off a spring outfit mid-winter before she grows out of it:)

Whew, all this standing up is sooo exhausting!

Hmmm, what's up here for me to grab??

Cute little feet!

Exploring different corners of the house.

Look out, she's on the move again!

Happily playing with her new favorite table toy. And we are happy because she likes it without any sounds.

So many fun things to hit and grab!

Oh man, who's this crazy lady??

Oh, it's you Auntie Stacia:)

Really good for the core strength when the thing you are balancing on swings and bounces...whole new use of the same old toy!

Uh oh, dropped my book...oh well, this glass looks better anyway.

My favorite little grin!

Princess Jerkberger does not like to put her clothes on anymore...get this thing off me Dad!,
