The Final Lake Picnic of Summer

Josh, Jody, Ed, and I headed out on their Chris Craft for what was probably one of the last summer picnics on Lake Tahoe. We cruised down to Emerald Bay sipping on some of the world's best MaiTai's and had a wonderful afternoon. Our gourmet lunch included Ginger Turkey Salad and Figs Stuffed with Blue Cheese. Long Lake Adventure

Josh, Megan, John, Stacia, and I headed out on an adventure to a lake none of us had ever been to before called Long Lake. It was supposed to be up near Soda Springs, but it turned out to be quite a long off-roading trek from there...we did a good job of breaking in Josh's new car! But it was worth it...gorgeous scenery, fun zip-line and rope swing, and nice warm water (well, warm by Tahoe standards)! Definitely a place we'll head back to...

Andrew's 70th Birthday Bash

My dad is turning 70 this year, so we threw him a huge party to celebrate. Luckily the weather cooperated for our big garden/creekside event, and my mom and Linda's gardens were looking spectacular. Great friends, great food (thanks Graham's!), great wine, and a great time!

Dave and Stephanie's Wedding

Headed down to Inverness and Tamales Bay this weekend for Dave Sokolosky and Stephanie Smith's wedding weekend...what a blast! Luckily the crazy thunderstorm stopped in time, and the ceremony overlooking the ocean was spectacular, and so tearful...those guys are so perfect for each other! Then onto the restauant for the real fun, and then late night dancing at the Western Saloon with all the crazy locals. Thanks for a great night everyone!

Zeena's Annual Labor Day in Tahoe

My friend Zeena and her closest fan club headed up to Tahoe for her Annual Labor Day visit. We had a jam packed weekend of adventures...a day rafting/walking down the extremely low Truckee River, a day boating on Tahoe, a day at the beach, dinner at Sunnyside, a big bbq at the house, and lots of fun! Oh yeah, and don't forget the excitement of another bear breaking into my house on Saturday night...!!

My New Floors!

I spent a good part of my "spare time" during June and July putting in new laminant flooring in my kitchen, dining room, and entry. It took much longer than I anticipated (as construction projects always do), but the end result is worth it...the new floors look awesome! I'm very excited for the change; it almost feels like a new home!! Next step, new floors in the living room...
