Leia Week 81: Learning About Apres: Cheers and Hot Tubs - 1/14/2015

We had our second week of skiing, and the good news is, Leia still loves it.  She gets a huge grin on her face when she goes down, especially when she's going fast and the wind is in her face!  She also graduated to the "big lift", aka, Papoose.  For me that's always the flat part after ripping down Polson's Gully, but it turns out the top of Papoose is really steep!  But she loves it.  And she likes riding up the chair too.  We also celebrated a great day on the slopes with a quick beer at the Cantina, introducing Leia to the next most important element of skiing: The Apres!  She had a blast, and loves to do Cheers!  And after our beers, the Apres session wouldn't be complete without a little dip in the "hot tubbie"!  We hadn't been the the tub in awhile, but we got the go ahead from the doctor that it was actually ok for me (especially since we keep it at 99 deg for Leia), so we all took advantage.  And now it's absolutely Leia's favorite thing...not a day goes by when she doesn't beg for a dip in the "hot tubbie".

Leia and Mommy enjoying a sunny afternoon on the slopes.

Love this little snuggle bug!

Having fun but relying on Mom to hold her up!

Now we're getting more forward!

So cool to ride up the big lift!

Down the steeps of Papoose!

Fast and steep? Bring it on she says!

Form gets a little better every time.

Checking out the views of the valley.

"Mommy, Daddy, Leia"

Look who loves the speed!

Standing and scooting on her own!

She really has a natural feel for the snow and amazing balance on her feet!

Always finding something cute to do, even in a boring old parking lot!

Cheers to a great day of skiing!

Cheers Daddy!

"Sit Mommy, sit!"

Ok Leia, I'll sit.

Big smiles for hot tubbie time!

Shirt says she's always nice, never naughty...do you believe her??

Little goof!

Maybe I'll keep this clip in my hair for you Mom...NOT!

Uh oh, lost baby on this walk.

Thought she was a little weirdo for insisting on eating shredded cheese out of a bowl, but as I continued to steal the delicious bites, I realized she's brilliant!

Learning important life lessons...

It's not easy walking in the Mommy's shoes!

Who's that cutie in the mirror?!

On our way to another fun day of school!

Goofing around on Daddy Day.
