Leia Week 62: Camp Hunter Part 2 - 9/3/2014

We finished off our stay at Camp Hunter with an exciting trip to the county fair. Leia saw so many cool new animals, rode her first amusement park rides, played games, ate fair food, and generally had the most exciting awesome time...until she crashed! It never works well to push back that nap time, especially when excessive amounts of over-stimulation are involved! And last, but not least, we had a really nice party at the Transues so that Leia could finally meet all their friends. It was a really fun trip, and thank you so much to Kelly and Bruce for taking care of all of us all week!

This was the closest Uncle Cody had ever been to a real live baby...clearly neither one of them was too sure about the whole thing!

Just can't get enough of that happy baby smile!

Taking charge on her morning walk with the grandparents.

Pout pout smash face!

Heading out on another fun hike.

Feeding the goats was really cool, but also a little scary!

More fun to watch grandpa do it!

A big turtle smile.

Hey guys, check me out in my sweet new ride!

 Hi Mr. Cow.

Sheep just don't look right without their fur.

Hey Mom, get over here and check this guy out!

Whoa!

Yep, this place is definitely cool!

Hey Leia, what does the llama say?  (ok, it was an alpaca, but she didn't care.)

Clap clap...great show here folks!

Learning how to milk a cow.

Yep, you can really make milk come out!

Oh yeah, this is awesome!

Of course we had to drive the tractor too.

Come on, hurry up Mom, there are so many more fun things to do here!!

Turkey legs? I guess I haven't been to a fair before either!

Blue chickens...is it Halloween already?

And pink doves...this place is crazy!

Leia's first ride on the carousel!

It was really fun til the thing actually started moving...then she wanted off and was clinging to mom for dear life!

Next up: family ferris wheel ride.

Up we go, high in the sky!

Seriously, when was the last time you rode a ferris wheel?

Great view of the whole fair from up here.

First carnival game was one she already had lots of skills in...grabbing rubber ducks out of a pool of water!

Concentrating on finding that winning duck!

Nailed it! And picked out her own favorite prize!

I love you monkey!

Running around the fair with monkey and going ballistic! And then she bonked...

Pretty little hike to see the hunter waterfalls.

So psyched to be hiking on her own feet instead of in the pack!

Crazy pool/outdoor bath time with monkey!

So good at splashes!

Looking like a little old man with her disheveled button-down and crutch.

Risky Business!

Bettis hugs!

Daddy's little girl!

Mommy hugs!

Our pretty little princess.

He loves me, he loves me not...

Fun with lawn darts!

Or maybe some horseshoes?

Nope, nothing beats a good session of rock sorting!

Making friends with everyone on the plane ride home...she was such a good little flyer!
