Well, we hopped on a cross country flight with a one year old this week and headed to Stowe, VT for the wedding of our friends Ben Kraines and Sara Friedman. The Reno Airport and our first flight to Vegas were totally empty, so we thought the whole day would be smooth sailing. But noooo, once we got to Vegas, everything went downhill. First our plane was late, then we boarded and our plane was broken, then we de-boarded, then we waited again and re-boarded. Meanwhile, Princess Leia was having a blast running around the airport, getting all amped up, while getting later and later past her nap time. By the time we boarded, she was at total meltdown, and it was so hard to get her quiet and resting. I don't think we disturbed people too much, but she only slept about 1 hr out of the 5 hour flight! We were exhausted!! We finally arrived in Albany, NY, headed to the Transue household, then woke up the next morning for another 6 hour drive to Stowe. It was quite the trip to get there, but once we arrived at the Trapp Family Lodge, we were in heaven!
All Josh's (and my) Middlebury friends reunited for the weekend, and it was a blast. The rehearsal dinner was great, and Merrill Kraines kept the party rolling late into the night. The next day Worm arrived to baby sit Leia for the night, but we had a fun afternoon in the pool first. Lots of Slam was played throughout the weekend. And finally, the wedding itself was beautiful, and the reception all-time. Can we come back again please?? Thanks everyone for such a fun weekend!
