Leia Week 54: Bear Lake Adventures - 7/10/2014

We spent 4th of July week up at Bear Lake, Wisconsin with the Ryggs, the Adams, the Coopers, and our new friends the Traaseths, as well as Courtney and Matt and a few others. Leia had another one year old, a four year old, a six year old, and an eight year old to play with, and boy did she have a blast! We had the lake all to ourselves with all sorts of different watercraft, an endless lawn to run around and play games on, gourmet meals everyday, and some of the most awesome people to hang with. It was a blast and we can't wait to go back. Leia was a bit of a bully, taking toys away from Aria all the time (which we assume she learned at daycare and by being a first child), but she did learn some new kissing skills from Aria, which made us happy since she has previously been quite stingy with her kisses for us! Leia has also started fully conversing. I'm not sure if that started in force this week or last, but either way it's definitely her new favorite thing. She will have full on conversations with us, with different tonal inflections, asking questions, giving answers, and just generally carrying on a very engaging conversation.  The only bummer is that we have no idea what she's saying!! Sounds like she's picked up a mix between Japanese and German. Does anyone know how to translate "sha-way way"? Even though I don't understand, it's still really fun to listen to her.

Checking out the dock and the many watercraft options with Dad.

Relaxing in the sun.

Our two most important jobs were cooking some awesome food and hanging out by the lake all day!
