Meg's Crazy Birthday in the Woods

This weekend we celebrated Megan's 30th Birthday. We all hiked three miles out on the PCT Trail to the Peter Grubb Hut to camp out and spend the night. It was quite an adventure. Turned out to be very cold, but luckily we had the woodstove blasting in the hut, so we were very toasty, especially after the dancing started. Rick and Jan Ganong cooked us a fabulous pasta feast, and libations were flowing. Who knew you could throw such a great party in the middle of nowhere??!! Happy Birthday Meg!

Katharine and Josh backpacking and enjoying the view from the Castle Peak Saddle.

Josh hiking through a cool fall meadow.

Katharine was all smiles before she dropped and stepped on her glasses.

Josh was enjoying the hike, but he won't show it in a picture!

Oh, there's a little smile I think!
