Winter Wonderland in Tahoe 3/22/11

It snowed a record 68 feet of snow this season in Squaw Valley. I think it's the most in my lifetime so far. With global warming, I'm convinced this is the new trend, but you just never know. We decided we better document all this snow just in case this year does go down in the history books, we'll have pictures of how buried our house was and we can tell our grandkids "Back in 2011, there was so much snow..."

The snow banks were higher than the front door, so high that you couldn't even throw another shovel-ful of snow up to the top...just shoveled into the driveway so the plow guy could blow it!

Driving down the road felt like you were in a tunnel!

Looking off the back deck down to the burried creek.

The snow almost came up as high as the hot tub deck, which is almost 20' high.

The snow we shoveled onto the lower stair case came up higher than the deck railing...kept running out of places to throw it!

This was where the A-Frame roof meets the deck...Josh wanted to ski down it.

Looking down at the creek again.

You can see the height of the snowbanks compared to my car.

Really high!!

Front door close-up shot...talk about burried!
