Leia Week 91: Spoiled Rotten by her Grandparents - 3/25/2015

The Transue's came to town to visit their favorite grandchild (I can say this because she is still their only grandchild at the moment), and man was Leia in 7th Heaven.  Three new people to boss around and follow her every command and beck and call.  Plus, Grandma, PopPop, and MumMum arrived with so many presents for her, I don't know how they fit any of their own clothes in their bags!  PopPop made her eggs for breakfast every day, which she hasn't had in awhile due to my pregnancy food aversions, but she was very happy with the renewed addition to her diet.  They also tried to spoil her diet in many ways, but luckily I've trained her too well, and she wanted nothing to do with ice cream and chocolate ("Poop, yuk!").  Good girl!  All in all it was a great week, lots of fun was had by all, and Mommy especially enjoyed her mini-vacation and sleep in days.

Probably the only bad thing was that Leia started being a little bit of a jerk to her MumMum (Grandma Viv), and telling her to "Go Away!"  We tried not to encourage her, but on one occasion it was so funny it was hard not to laugh.  We were all in the car, so clearly no one was "going away", but after Leia repeatedly said it, MumMum got on her pretend phone to call a taxi and be picked up at the next light.  After that, Leia was on her own phone immediately: "Beep, beep, beep...Hello, taxi?  MumMum go away, next light."  It was so hard not to bust up laughing!

The other funny thing happened when we went skiing.  I had Leia in my arms while skiing fast down Red Dog Face, and I know she's loving it (it's always her favorite part), but then she says to me "Scary!"  It's her new favorite word, and the way she says it is so funny and expressive, but I couldn't understand why she was saying it now.  So I ask her if this is really scary, and she says yes, but she's still smiling.  So I say, "Do you like being scared?"  And of course, she says "Yes" with huge grin...little daredevil!

Sorry, long post, but I guess it was a big week.  Anyway, Leia has also started having full on conversations, mostly with herself, but also with us.  She's starting to understand about Mommy and Daddy going to work, so one morning she had a whole conversation about "Daddy work today, no Daddy home, Mommy home, no Mommy work."  It was pretty cute, and fun to see her start to comprehend so much.

Grandma huggies!

Just can't get enough of that smile!

Still loves her "hot tubby"!

More Grandma huggies!

That PopPop sure is silly!

"Hi, here I am!"

Cute new shirt from Grandma's bag of tricks.

"No Papa, out!!"

Little snow bunny ready to hit the slopes in her fancy new coat and shades!

Heading to the lifts with PopPop.

Leia's #1!

We can still only get one magic carpet ride out of her...she wants the lifts!

Yep, someone's happy to be riding on the big lift!

Chairlift selfie with Grandma and PopPop.

It's the sweetest thing when she decides to rest her head on my shoulder mid-ski run!

Cruisin' with PopPop.

Genuinely happy smile in this Grandma/Leia selfie!

Trip up the Funi with MumMum, PopPop, and Grandma.

Fun rides are Leia's favorite!

Skiing fast down East Broadway!

Only made it 1 run, then she wanted more Funi!

Chillaxin' after a hard day on the slopes.

Fun with matching Fedoras!

Hand wars...just like her dad...screams if she doesn't win!

Who knew she likes the slightly spicy Cantina salsa?  She was going to town!

PopPop, try this salsa!

Never likes to let me put in the ponies, but it was ok for Grandma to do it!

Cruising through Northstar Village.

This little Diva fit right in over at Northstar!

Time for shopping!  Favorite store? "Mine!"

Loving those wagon rides!

Checking out this new setup...bit more complex than her jumpy at home...

Getting the feel for the new heights.

Higher and higher...now this is fun!

She went so high and loved every second of it!

Leia was a little more affectionate with her MumMum this minute...invited her into the wagon sanctum...it was too cute!

Faster PopPop!

Story time!

Can't go out for a morning walk (or anywhere for that matter) without a baby and a bag of goodies!

Fancy new sweatsuit and matching shoes...Thanks MumMum!

No holds barred for Princess Leia's breakfast menu this week...steak and cheese omelet today.

Today we hit Squaw Village.

Trying to give a ball to the stuffed dog...it was so funny!
