Josh and I headed down to Santa Barbara for a long weekend to see some great friends and play at our friend Trevor's grandparents' beach house. The house is actually in Carpenteria, and it sits right on a private beach at the end of a long point, with no houses on 3 sides, just ocean and estuary...talk about amazing! With lots of great decks and funky rooms, its the perfect place for a good size group to get together and have fun. Every day starts with a pancake breakfast cooked out on the deck, then a session in the water (either kayaking, surfing, or boogie boarding), then some beach volley ball, more hanging out, another water session, and then sunset cocktails on the upper deck before finally heading inside to make some dinner. Below are pictures from Day 1, and I will make a separate blog for each day to follow.

Everyone always makes sure to get out of the water and showered in time for the daily sunset gathering on the upper deck. |

Jesse decided mid-dinner to do a little reshaping to his formerly 6 inch long goatee...et voila some sweet handle bars! |

Inspired by Jesse and not wanting to be outdone, Josh followed suite with some awesome racing stripes! |
