Somehow I didn't seem to have gotten any daytime pictures today, but the highlight was going surfing for my first time ever! It actually wasn't so much of a highlight as it was a big adventure. Because of the full moon, the water and waves were crazy all day, and it turns out a crazy day is not the best time to learn. I had a hell of a time trying to get out past the break, felt a little sick by the time I did, and then the waves were either unpredictable or a little too gnarly for me. I got one little surf, but didn't get up. I also got a lot of ocean pummeling and took a fin to the leg, resulting in a huge bruise! We belatedly celebrated Marco and Trevor's birthdays after dinner with a hilarious version of The Dating Game. Anna cheated and ended up winning a date with her own boyfriend, and Lizard won the date with Trevor. Shannon was a close second for both bachelors, and Josh was also in the running, having tricked the boys into thinking he was a women with several great answers!

Thanks to the full moon, the tides came in even higher than usual, and the estuary on the front side of the house was filling up higher than ever! |

The full moon was closer to the earth then ever before (litterally, several thousand miles closer or something like that...look it up, its a cool factoid). |
