Arwyn has been in music class for over a month now, and it's starting to show. She's getting much more comfortable with her voice and the lyrics, to the point that now she sings pretty confidently in the car, and she knows the words to a lot of her music class songs. She's been acknowledging quite often about how tired she is, but she sleeps a lot (she's back to her good naps and sleeps 11+ hours through the night), so I guess she must be doing a lot of growing and developing to make her so exhausted all the time. I've finally gotten both girls back to eating fruit in the morning (they both were refusing for quite awhile, despite the fact that they actually do like to eat fruit). Car treats used to be my bribe for sunscreen cooperation, but now they don't get them until after sunscreen AND fruit. Arwyn was the more difficult one to get on board with the program, but after a few weeks, even she is eating her fruit without much of a fuss. Arwyn loved singing the Happy Birthday Song to Poppy at his party; she's totally infatuated with the concept of birthdays. Grandma sent the girls their Halloween costumes, and Arwyn loves her Super Girl costume. She was running all around the house with one arm stretched out forward and one arm back (which is apparently how super heroes fly), yelling "I'm a supa hero!" We went to the KidsZone Fall Festival, and Arwyn was very frustrated that we kept doing everything that Leia wanted to do, but unfortunately I was all by myself, and there was no way to be in two different places at the same time and both of them required my presence at all times. I finally was able to reign Leia in a little and make a few of Arwyn's choices the priority. Arwyn had a blast at our annual BaconFest party. She was actually pretty independent and played with her friends the whole time. PopPop came to visit us this week. It was pretty funny because on the very first morning, they hadn't seen each other yet, and PopPop went into the room to get her out of bed in the morning, and I heard her crying and pissed that he wasn't her mommy. But then 20 minutes later, I tried to do a session of Mommy Time with her, but about 30 seconds into it, she opted out, and ran off to play with PopPop.
Leia was also so excited to have PopPop here that she too, actually refused her Mommy Time. I didn't want to get behind schedule and have to make up a bunch, so I kept trying to convince her to play with me anyway, and finally I did when PopPop got in the shower. Even then, she actually wanted TV time instead of Mommy Time, which was so weird. After only a week, Leia's room is a mess again. Even she acknowledged that it was a mess, but she was having a very hard time cleaning it up again. The mess looked big, but compared to before, it was actually very superficial and wouldn't have been hard to clean up if she actually tried. Finally she was motivated to clean it when PopPop said no presents until she did. She still put it off for awhile, but then just went up and did it all by herself since no one would come help her. I went up to confirm she'd actually done it and didn't just throw everything in the closet, and much to my amazement she had done a really great job! She had actually put most everything in its proper general general location, albeit a little messily. I was about to get a little nit picky, but then I remembered that's bad to do, so I just praised her hard work instead. Leia got her Halloween costume in the mail this week, and was so excited to dress up as Wonder Woman. She pretty much wore the costume at least once a day for the entire week leading up to Halloween. Leia had a great time at the KidsZone Festival. She wanted to face painted badly enough that she actually waited pretty patiently in a pretty long line. Leia was excited about BaconFest, but when the first guest was Echo, she got really pissed about her being there. She kept trying to get us to let her go up to her room with the iPad to watch a movie all by herself. We were pretty sure that her response was directly related to how Echo had treated her when we showed up there the other day, total payback! Luckily Nana arrived and gave her some quality Leia/Nana Art time, and Leia got out of her funk and had fun playing with Echo the rest of the party.

Birthday celebration for all the Dads!
Now that Arwyn understands about the Happy Birthday song (and now that she can sing it well), it is totally her favorite thing!
Password = Arwyn
Arwyn loves birthday parties and she loves to sing Happy Birthday to people. This evening's song for Poppy was one of her best ever.
Cousin art time!
Leia's first time riding her bike all the way to Squaw! She made it as far as the stables before I made her turn around for fear she'd be too tired to get back. She was definitely exhausted!
I agreed to drive back to the village for a picnic since we couldn't make it all the way on bikes.
Fall leaves, aspen trees, and playful children...all the ingredients of a beautiful picture!
My cute little tree hugger!
Fun on the KT chair swing.
Strong and confident Wonder Woman!
Wonder Woman vs. Darth Vader!
Wonder Woman and Super Girl love their new weapons!
Fun with random super hero masks!
And there she goes, flying through the skies, off to save the world!

This one just makes me smile.
And Super Girl takes to the streets, zooming along on her scooter, trying to stop evil in our neighborhood!
Did you see that caped crusader speed by?
I just love that little puppy dog face!
A little Mom and Arwyn tea party.

Arwyn's been making this same facial expression when she gets cold ever since she was little. But now she can even do it on command, and it's the cutest face ever!
Decorating mini pumpkins at the Fall Festival.
A very scary looking 3-eyed pumpkin for Arwyn!
She finally found someone to paint the Rainbow Unicorn that she's been wanting so badly!
Face paint = big smiles!

Happy to be treated to a delicious breakfast (with lots of juice!)
My little cuddle bug.
Whenever the kids won't eat fruit, we just play the "Five Little Monkey's Sitting in the Tree, Teasing Mr. Crocodile, Can't Catch Me!" game, and the snap those little raspberry monkeys right off those fingers!
Leia loves to do face painting these days. Luckily for us, she just uses water...unluckily for us, it's spit water off her tongue!
Arwyn is such a good sport (and playmate)!
Arwyn's turn, and clearly she learned her skills from the best!
Laughing about the silly thing she drew on Leia's face??
