Arwyn is turning into such a little girl! More new words everyday, and this week they included "ball," "Nana," "PaPa" (and I think a version "poppy"), "Coop," "dog," and "hello" while talking into play telephones. Between her dad being gone and the excitement of Grandma and MumMum being here, Arwyn had a very hard time with the time change, despite all my good preparation. She was up between 4:30 and 5:15 every day! She loved her daily FaceTime phone calls with Daddy, and forcefully insisted on holding the phone herself during the calls. She would switch back and forth between looking at him on the screen and putting the phone up to her ear to talk like a regular phone, all while running around the whole house. Quite dizzying for Josh, but super cute! One day when Grandma said they should call Daddy, Arwyn took Grandma's arm and started dragging her out the kitchen and down the hall towards our bedroom, presumably trying to get upstairs to look for Daddy in his bed where she usually finds him. It was so funny. She played and laughed so much this week with all the new attention she got.
Leia's been learning about how to be a "Super Friend" at school (stuff like not hitting or taking toys, and recognizing others emotions). Now she's bringing it home with her and telling me, "Mommy, you're not being a Super Friend!" (or occasionally I actually am being one, which is nice). And she keeps uninviting us to her birthday party, and saying that she won't play with us until we start sharing and being nice (i.e., giving her whatever she wants). Little does she know, but a) this is not an enforceable threat, and b) I'd be grateful for a little time (but just a little) when she didn't always need to be playing with me so I could get a few things cleaned around the house!

Despite the fact that it is 2 years worth of sizing too small, Leia insisted that Arwyn wanted to share her clothes with her! Against my wishes, she did manage to squeeze into it, bulging seams and all.
Leia also insisted that Arwyn wanted to dress up too. They did look super cute together, but I couldn't get them to pose nicely.
We had this dress on both girls as little babies, but it actually fits Arwyn perfectly now!
My little Geishas.
Hide and seek time...where could Leia be??
Found you!
Big train track building project this morning.
So many fun hats, clothes, shoes, and jewelry to play dress up in at Nana's!
"Hello?"
"Oh, there you are Dad!"
She loves talking to her Dad!
Wahoo, she actually chowed a big bowl of Daddy delicious homemade turkey soup!
Uh oh, sidewalk chalk inside the house...that's trouble!
Low snow in Copper this year, but looks like good training nonetheless.
Password = Arwyn
She doesn't quite have the same sliding feet as MJ, but Arwyn's got her own little version of the moonwalk!
I was calling it a headstand, but really, it's a perfect form downward dog!
I see you! Jealous of the heels on the ground and nice flexible calves!
And now the flop-down rest.
Password = Arwyn
Arwyn has mastered her Downward Dog, and can even flip from left to right...perfect form!
Little speed demon testing out the life in Mommy's shoes.
A little park time with Grandma and MumMum.
This princess rides a magical dinosaur!
Ah, a little Colorado tranquility away from the crazy life at home.
I think this might be Arwyn's first real solo art project!
Leia's art is serious business...another fun day at KidZone.
Josh finally got to meet our new nephew Hunter!
Finally pulled out the boxes of 18 month clothes, and I think Arwyn will be able to wear a new shirt every day until she's 2!
New park, new play structure to explore!
It's the airport park, let's jump for joy!
Hopping along the stepping stones...we had a fun little obstacle course going.
Big smiles all day.
Good practice on the steep and slippery hill climb!
Leia liked the log climb.
And the best part is, you get to watch the airplanes and helicopters take off and land!
Arwyn had a fun week with her Grandma.
Arwyn was totally addicted to the airplanes!
Taste test!
She just loves using the big girl water bottle, and she's surprisingly good at keeping the water in her mouth (most of the time).
I love this sweet little face!
Getting good at a regular cup too.
Step right up, Leia's ready to take your order!
Little climber!
Wahoo!
Getting good at the peg climb!
