Arwyn has been a rather serious girl so far, which is not surprising since she has to constantly evaluate and stay tough in the face of Leia overload. But now this week, she has started to smile, laugh, and giggle so much more...definitely a happy baby, which is so fun so see. She really grabs onto thing so much now, and very tightly. And she can now wrap her arm around you and hold you back a little when you hold her. She is still only napping in the swing, but is doing very well at night, at least one 4-6 hour stretch most nights.
Leia is becoming more and more independent every day, and she really loves picking out her own crazy outfits rather than what I might want her to wear. The current most outrageous winner was a sleeping outfit she insisted on wearing this week: pink panties over her diaper, pink sequined bathing suit with matching skirt over that, fleece footie pajamas over that, Star Wars Vans shoes over that, and encased in her fleece sleep sac! And keep in mind her bedroom was a whopping 77 degrees!
We celebrated cousin Emmett's 1st birthday this week. Leia had a total screaming, crying meltdown when she accidentally let all of Emmett's birthday balloons fly away. We also had a bunch of fun days playing with our new neighbor's daughter, Echo, and Leia was in such a good sharing mood that she accidentally even shared her beloved monkey...she freaked out as soon as she realized her mistake! And it was so funny one day when she was playing with her daddy. They were running, jumping, wrestling, and having so much fun and then all of a sudden she belts out her favorite song at the top of her lungs: "Let it go, let it go..."
