Well, our hopes for a Miracle March were a bust, so we are back to warm days and playing on the dry streets and grass. Josh broke out a whole new set of books from the book shelf, one of which was about a Father teaching his son how to ride a bike. Now Leia is on a whole new biking kick, and she'd rather go out riding bikes than hot tubing every day, which was slightly disappointing to me and Josh. Oh well, maybe we can find a balance. She did have her first bike crash this week, and it doesn't seem to have phased her one bit, which is good (and scary...little daredevil!) She had picked up her feet to get some speed down a small incline, but then turned her head to look at Poppy, which caused her arms to turn, and the bike wheels as well. The whole bike jerked sideways and toppled over. She fell on her side, hitting her helmet and scraping her elbow. I unpinned her from under the bike, and she cried for a minute, but after standing up and realizing she was fine, she grabs the bike, says "Again!", and starts heading back up the hill for more speed!
Leia is also getting freakishly good at the art of bedtime stalling. She likes sleeping so much, I thought this might not be a problem for us, but nope, she's normal. Actually, not normal, very advanced! She started by asking for extra stories and extra songs, but quickly discovered that we easily said no to that stuff. So now she's realized that if she tells Dad she needs a diaper change, his guilty conscience will never allow him to put her down for the night wet! She's even requesting tooth brushing, which we know she hates again but she knows we really want her to do it! Absolutely brilliant...we are really in trouble with this girl!

6.5 Months pregnant and still skiing...barely!
Leia asked for a shovel to help me remove the last bit of snow from the driveway!
Very good little shoveler here!
Slide fun!
She discovered the balcony off our bathroom...now she insists on going out there and flashing everyone after every bath!
Open door, go out. Close door. "Help!" Open door, come in. Repeat...
And she's off! Catch her if you can!
Big ride down to Poppy's...all out of breath!
Poppy showed her his glow ring and spaceship...they were a big hit!
Park slides never get old!
Grandma and Papa arrived...showing off her skills!
Wow, new baseball mitt from Papa!
Look who can already catch a ball!
A little golf practice...she has really improved her grip over this winter...practically perfect!
Playing in the "keek!" (aka, creek)
So exciting to have new playmates in town!
Very good turnout at today's tea party!
