Leia had her first ski day this week. It's actually inaccurate to call it her first day because she did go skiing last year at only 10 months old, but I think this was really more of an official debut since she can stand up by herself and slide her skis around a bit. She can also enjoy it better this time, since as an 18 month old she understands a little better what's going on. And man does she love going fast! Little daredevil definitely takes after her Mom!
Leia has also officially graduated into the Toddler Room at school. She has kind of outgrown the infant room for awhile now, always a little bored when she arrives and sees only small babies and no one her own age. So she's been really happy every time they let her go "practice" being in the Toddler Room, and always asked to go over there. Of course, now that she's officially in the room, she's not as happy about it. She's cried every day that I've dropped her off so far, which she never did in the Infant Room (she has always loved school). It's very weird, but I guess she liked being in charge and deciding which room she wanted to be in, and now that she can't go back to her comfort zone when she wants, she's a bit uncomfortable. Oh well, I'm sure she'll get used to it, and her teacher Jenny is still one of her favorites.

Skiing is sooo fun!
Figuring out the balance between too far forward and too far back.
Also figuring out how much Dad will hold her up vs. making her stand.
Already standing and kicking the skis around on her own...so advanced!
Now she's liking this ride!
All in all, a successful day!
Evening story time in their new matching flannels from Grandma.
Cutest little hat courtesy of her cousin Jordan!
