The girls had their annual checkup this week, and Leia was super excited about going to the doctor and the possibility of spending money at the the pharmacy next door. Luckily I accidentally brought their wallets this time, but they didn't have the thing she wanted so badly from last time. She just couldn't leave without spending money though, and ended up bang a pack of 100 tattoos. Arwyn chose candy instead, and they both did a fabulous job of sharing. We had a nice morning at home this Saturday. Leia is always so exited to have home days, and always has her own agenda on tap. Whenever I suggest something, I get a big "NOOO, I had other plans!!", which is fair, I suppose. She's been at school 5 days in a row, so I can see how it would feel nice to relax at home. But it's frustrating for me, who wants to get out and do fun things! Leia was excited about going to Arwyn's friend Ryder's birthday party this week. She always likes a good party, but was also happy because his big brother Race was one of her friends as well. We also hung out with Emmett this week, and Leia did a great job of cooperating with him, and sharing and compromising. She ended up taking a long nap after all that sharing, and then was tired and cranky when she woke up. We had a quarrel because she insisted on getting out the hose to water after I had just put it away. She promised she would put it away again when she was done, but of course didn't. And then both girls were ignoring Daddy on the phone, so it was a big mess, but then he ate dinner with us via FaceTime, and we did a family meeting, and all was better. It was neat to hear Leia singing a cool new song/poem that she learned at K Camp. Contrast that with the 20 minute tantrum she had one morning about not having ANY shoes (ie, shoes like Arwyn, to be exact). In a flash we went from being happy and early to being late and stressed all because of stupid shoes! And then I had to appease her by meeting her at school to shop online for shoes.
Arwyn did a great job at the doctor's office, and was instantly drawn to the candy at the store. I find it so funny because she definitely has shown a preference for spending money on candy and having a small binge, then she loses interest pretty quickly and forgets all about it (even if she didn't actually finish the treat). She was so excited for her friend Ryder's Birthday Party (it was at the Gymnastics gym with a piñata and more candy!), and spending the night at Nana and Poppy's. Unfortunately they made the mistake of putting them both in the same bed, so they woke each other up too early and were fussing with each other in bed too late, so Nana and Poppy had a bit of a hard night! But then we had a great morning at Emmett's doing slip and slide. Arwyn is currently in a phase where she get super cranky every morning right at 11, which is also super annoying!

Cutest thing ever to watch Leia try to teach Arwyn the proper way to ballroom dance. She's definitely a great teacher, very patient, with proper attention to detail.
